The use of recycled steel is estimated to save 60-70% of the energy required to produce steel cans from ore.
Every ton of paper recycled saves about 17 trees.
Recycling one aluminum can saves the equivalent of enough energy to run a television set for three hours.
Throwing away a single aluminum can, versus recycling it, is like pouring out six ounces of gasoline.
